Long workpieces are no problem: the GH-1340 offers 39" between centers alongside a 2" spindle bore for feeding larger-diameter bar stock straight through the headstock.

A 2 HP, Single-Phase motor drives the geared head through 8 spindle speeds (90-2000 RPM), giving operators the torque and range needed for roughing, finishing, and threading in one machine.

As configured here, the GH-1340 includes a Acu-Rite 203 digital readout for precise, at-a-glance positioning that reduces reliance on manual dial counting, a collet closer for faster, more repeatable workholding on smaller-diameter stock and bar work, and a taper attachment kit for accurate, repeatable taper turning independent of the compound slide.
