Long workpieces are no problem: the GH-1340 offers 39" between centers alongside a 2" spindle bore for feeding larger-diameter bar stock straight through the headstock.

A 2 HP, Single-Phase motor drives the geared head through 8 spindle speeds (90-2000 RPM), giving operators the torque and range needed for roughing, finishing, and threading in one machine.

This configuration of the GH-1340 adds a Newall NMS300 digital readout, giving the operator real-time positional feedback to cut setup time and reduce scrap, a collet closer, which speeds up workholding changeovers and improves repeatability on small-diameter or bar-fed parts, and a taper attachment kit, giving operators precise control over taper angles without disturbing the compound rest setting.
