The JET GH-1440-1 14x40 Gear Head Engine Lathe is built for shops that need 14" of swing and dependable, all-day turning performance without cutting corners on operator safety.

The GH-1440-1's 40" distance between centers and 2" spindle bore give operators the reach and through-capacity needed for longer shafts and bar stock passed directly through the headstock.

The geared head is turned by a 2 HP Single-Phase motor, offering 8 spindle speeds spanning 90-1800 RPM for flexibility across materials and cut depths.

This configuration of the GH-1440-1 adds a Newall NMS300 digital readout for precise, at-a-glance positioning that reduces reliance on manual dial counting.
