Built around a 14" swing and 14x40 capacity, the JET GH-1440-1 Gear Head Engine Lathe gives operators the rigidity and control needed for demanding, repeatable turning work.

A 2" spindle bore and 40" between centers put the GH-1440-1 ahead of comparable lathes, letting larger-diameter material pass through the headstock while supporting long-bed turning operations.

Power comes from a 2 HP Single-Phase motor feeding a 8-speed gear head (90-1800 RPM), delivering steady torque across a wide range of turning, facing, and threading operations.

This particular GH-1440-1 package is equipped with a taper attachment kit for accurate, repeatable taper turning independent of the compound slide.

Standard industrial safety features include:

• Lead screw cover to keep debris out of the drive mechanism
