Built around a 14" swing and 14x40 capacity, the JET GH-1440-3 Gear Head Engine Lathe gives operators the rigidity and control needed for demanding, repeatable turning work.

A 2" spindle bore and 40" between centers put the GH-1440-3 ahead of comparable lathes, letting larger-diameter material pass through the headstock while supporting long-bed turning operations.

Power comes from a 2 HP Three-Phase motor feeding a 16-speed gear head (45-1800 RPM), delivering steady torque across a wide range of turning, facing, and threading operations.

This configuration of the GH-1440-3 adds a taper attachment kit, giving operators precise control over taper angles without disturbing the compound rest setting.
