A 2.55" spindle bore and 40" between centers put the GH-1440ZX ahead of comparable lathes, letting larger-diameter material pass through the headstock while supporting long-bed turning operations.

Power comes from a 5 HP Three-Phase motor feeding a 12-speed gear head (36-1800 RPM), delivering steady torque across a wide range of turning, facing, and threading operations.

This particular GH-1440ZX package is equipped with a Acu-Rite 203 digital readout, giving the operator real-time positional feedback to cut setup time and reduce scrap, and a taper attachment kit, giving operators precise control over taper angles without disturbing the compound rest setting.
