Long workpieces are no problem: the GH-1640ZX offers 40" between centers alongside a 3-1/8" spindle bore for feeding larger-diameter bar stock straight through the headstock.

A 10 HP, Three-Phase motor drives the geared head through 12 spindle speeds (26-1500 RPM), giving operators the torque and range needed for roughing, finishing, and threading in one machine.

This configuration of the GH-1640ZX adds a Acu-Rite 203 digital readout, giving the operator real-time positional feedback to cut setup time and reduce scrap, and a collet closer, which speeds up workholding changeovers and improves repeatability on small-diameter or bar-fed parts.
