The JET GH-1660ZX 16x60 Large Spindle Bore ZX Gear Head Lathe is built for shops that need 16" of swing and dependable, all-day turning performance without cutting corners on operator safety.

The GH-1660ZX's 60" distance between centers and 3-1/8" spindle bore give operators the reach and through-capacity needed for longer shafts and bar stock passed directly through the headstock.

The geared head is turned by a 10 HP Three-Phase motor, offering 12 spindle speeds spanning 26-1500 RPM for flexibility across materials and cut depths.

This particular GH-1660ZX package is equipped with a Newall NMS800 digital readout, giving the operator real-time positional feedback to cut setup time and reduce scrap, a collet closer, which speeds up workholding changeovers and improves repeatability on small-diameter or bar-fed parts, and a taper attachment kit, giving operators precise control over taper angles without disturbing the compound rest setting.
