A 3-1/8" spindle bore and 83.5" between centers put the GH-2180ZX ahead of comparable lathes, letting larger-diameter material pass through the headstock while supporting long-bed turning operations.

Power comes from a 10 HP Three-Phase motor feeding a 12-speed gear head (26-1500 RPM), delivering steady torque across a wide range of turning, facing, and threading operations.
