Motor start capacitor (600 µF, 250 VAC) for the JET GHB-1340 13 x 40 in. bench lathe. Provides the phase-shifted current pulse the lathe motor needs to break inertia under spindle load. OEM replacement; disconnect power and discharge the capacitor through a bleed resistor before service — these caps store enough charge to bite.
