Introducing JET ELITE

New JET ELITE Metalworking Machinery Is In A Class Of Its Own

LaVergne, TN –JET® has produced a new line of machinery, designated Elite, that’s so refined, it helps to redefine the standards by which machines are judged.  .

JET Elite machinery meets or exceeds the quality standards of today’s high-end tool and die shops, aerospace and medical instrument manufacturing facilities and other industries that create precise machined parts.

JET engineers set out to build a line of metalworking lathes, mills and saws – and sweat all the details.  Every aspect of production, from key performance features to the smallest component, was designed and engineered in the USA and was analyzed from top to bottom.  What has evolved is JET Elite, one of the finest high performance metalworking machinery lines to ever hit the market.

“It took three years to develop JET Elite,” said Peggy McGann, JET’s Product Manager.  “Every facet, feature and part of the entire line was scrutinized with the same goals in mind -- how do we add precision, durability and safety, and how do we make it the best.”

Strict tolerances were set for every machine.  With a focus on precision and durability, engineers designed machines that would consistently meet the growing needs and exact tolerances of custom manufacturing.  Machinery has been cycle tested for durability with procedures that mirror day-to-day production operations.

Machine safety plays an important role in every shop environment and the welfare of the machinists. From safety guards, e-stops and spindle brakes to CSA/CUS certified electrics, these safety features are evident in all Elite machines. In fact, JET Elite is one of a few lines where all machines are CSA/CUS listed and fully certified.  This has received positive feedback and will be well received by vocational schools and manufacturers alike.

When it comes to building lathes, Elite settled for nothing less than world class machines.  All machines not only meet, but exceed, market standards.  Spindle runouts are so low that they’re not detected by most measurement devices.  Veteran shop hands marvel at the new line of Elite milling machines with their dead-on accuracy and precision. These mills are impeccably balanced. They also incorporate Class 7 spindle bearings, which help generate an industry-leading spindle taper runout of 0.00012”.

The new line of JET Elite Horizontal Bandsaws were built with precision, durability and safety in mind.  The saws’ swing-away control panel consolidates all controls to a single convenient panel to manage major saw functions.  All Elite saws have comfortable working bed heights up to 32” to help reduce operator fatigue, especially during extended use period and have CSA/CUS certified electric ratings.

In Elite Vertical Bandsaws, each saw features precision balanced, cast-iron wheel guides with a bonded rubber blade track for maximum speed and torque. The saws also feature a precision ground articulating table for bevel cuts up to 45° right and 10° left.

The JET Elite line of metalworking machinery is backed by JET’s Red Assurance plan and an industry best 3-year full-warranty on parts and labor. Before any machine is shipped to its final destination it undergoes a meticulous 30 Point Inspection at JET headquarters in  LaVergne, TN.  During the inspection process, the machine is checked to ensure it meets all listed tolerances; all electrical components and connections are checked; test cuts are run on materials; the machine is operated for 30 minutes and, finally, it’s completely cleaned so it’s shop ready.
